   HOW IT WORKS

Westlake Events coordinates and organizes the whole production and fundraising event. We will find the talent, book the venue and raise all the funds for the sponsor. We are responsible for all costs and expenses and provide the sponsor with a guaranteed minimum return, plus a share of profits. We also provide to the community an awareness of the goals and objectives of the sponsoring organizations. Additionally, we create an advertising program book which businesses support by placing ads in the program book.

More specifically, Westlake Events as Producer, is financially responsible for all costs and expenses incurred in the production of the entertainment event and for all costs associated with raising the funds. The Producer provides a minimum guaranteed amount for the event to the sponsor, regardless of revenues actually raised – in other words, the Producer assumes all the risks. The sponsor would typically be paid weekly amounts towards their guarantee. Additionally, the sponsor also receives more than 200 event tickets (valued at approx. $7.00 each) which they can give away, or sell and retain all the proceeds – and this is in addition to the guarantee.

We want to provide a win-win situation: the sponsor receives additional funds which are the result of community support and at the same time we provide awareness to the community of the sponsor’s programs. All scripts used are pre-approved by the sponsor.

Marketing of the event is conducted from a local marketing office inside the community. Residents of the community are hired to call our established "donor base" for the special event.

We ask the sponsor to open a special show bank account which is to be controlled solely by the sponsoring organization and all monies collected for the event are deposited into this account. We ask donors to write out checks made payable to your organization for security and legitimacy reasons.

After the sponsor gives us the go ahead, their total time commitment is only about 20 minutes a week. We ask your treasurer to meet weekly with our local marketing manager to make out disbursements, check ticket sales receipts, etc. This is why we say this is a "win-win" situation - you get needed additional funds and you spend very little time on it.

An example of the process steps is as follows:
